Does EMSELLA treat sexual dysfunction?+
EMSELLA is indicated for rehabilitation of weak pelvic muscles and neuromuscular control in urinary incontinence. Juniper should not promise that it diagnoses or resolves every sexual wellness concern.
Do I need a medical evaluation first?+
You may. Pain, bleeding, sudden or unexplained changes, infection symptoms, hormonal concerns, or significant distress should be evaluated by an appropriate medical clinician.
Is the treatment internal?+
No. You remain fully clothed and sit on the treatment chair. There is no internal applicator.
Can pelvic floor physical therapy be used too?+
Yes, and it may be the more appropriate first step for some people. A pelvic floor physical therapist can assess coordination, weakness, overactivity, pain, and functional movement in ways a chair treatment cannot.
Is this only for women?+
No. EMSELLA's urinary incontinence indication includes women and men, though candidacy and the cause of symptoms must be evaluated individually.
